Too tired/broke/lazy/indifferent… to travel to Austin next week? Stay home then

I don’t know if an online music festival is virtual or not, but #CXCW (a take on SXSW) exists, and it is brilliant. This year looks just as awesome.

WTF IS #CXCW? As explained on the Couch by Couchwest site:

CXCW 2013 6 DAYSNo badges, lanyards, bracelets, parking fees, ticket lines, exclusive parties, VIP tents…just the sweet comfort of your own couch. Here’s how it works, artists and bands from all over the globe record a video performance for us from their living rooms, kitchens, porches, bathrooms, you name it…pretty much anywhere but a stage…and we post them (March 10 – 16, 2013).

NOTE: Submissions accepted until the final day, so psst this to bands you know.

  1. Sounds like a great idea to me – it’s no so much that I couldn’t be bothered to go to a festival, it’s just that it’s not practical with young’un. This way I can inflict some music on him without worrying whether he’s fit for travel! (Evil laughter)

  2. It sounds like a great idea ! ! !

I am not keen of festivals usually.

I went to Fuji rock one time . . . . I want to know which idiot had the idea to organise a festival in the middle of the rainy season ? ? ? I am not keen on camping very much also and I will not mention the toilets.

I do go to Girls Factory each year which is an all girl festival held in Zepp Tokyo as is it is inside, air-conditioned and I can go home each night and the toilets are clean and nice.

I will definitely try to watch some of this couch festival ! ! !

  3. What an innovative and interesting idea tinny. I’ll definitely pop by.

Do like an ‘intimate’ gathering rather than 80,000 sweaty, smelly bodies in-between me and the group I want to see / hear.

    • To make sure there’s no misunderstanding, I had nothing to do with the idea and am not involved in the running of the thing.

I just plug it every year ’cause I like the idea
