Kawaii ! ! !
I am very sorry but I am going to be a week late with part 2 of The Attack Of The Japanese Schoolgirls.
I am very sorry but I have had so many personal commitments this week I have had almost no time at all. I am really sorry to be late.
But next week I will be looking at the development of the idol, and idol groups like AKB48 and Morning Musume. I will be writing a little about post war Japan and the development of pop in general, and contrasting the sexy female pop singers of the 1960 and early 1970 decades with the raise in the 1980 decade of the idol and the school girl Kawaii image.
So as an apology - here is a really great short video featuring 1950 sytle uniforms by the totally Kawaii Hanea it is her latest single and only released last week.

she has a very nice sailor suit but I’m really not sure about ankle socks and shoes like that. I’ll look forward to part 2 when you have a chance.

The shoes are not what you would wear with a uniform like that but the ankle socks were typical for the 1950 decade.
The tack is actually two parts – the Kamisama Hajimemashita (becoming a goddess) part and where she is in school uniform, and at the end of this video she changes into adult clothes and the next part follows on with Kamisama Onegai ( goddess if you please / I beg you – it is difficult translation actually ) But I could not find the full video on Youtube. The shoes look great in the adult dress part of the video ! ! !
If I find the full video I will post it as it is shot in Kyoto (I think) and there is some nice street scenes and the adult dress is really nice also.
