You work with someone for ages and then one day they tell you they’re going to have stop playing with their band.
“What band ?” you say.
“Midnite Special, didn’t you know ?”
“Well, no.”
Patrik, my co-worker was the drummer in this band till, well, yesterdayish.
They sound pretty good to me. Here’s their e.p.
Sounded great to me! The first song was ace. Why did he have to quit the band?

I had to listen to that again. I absolutely loved those first 3 songs (not so big on the 4th). I think they’re really good – are they based in Spain or the UK? I hope they’re not giving up.
They’re Madrid based as far as I know. Patrik had to stop because of a recurring and worsening problem with tinnitus. The band are carrying on. Patrik is keen for them to get as much attention as possible.
Hi Maki ! ! !
I really enjoyed the tracks ! ! ! I hope they can continue ! ! !
What music player is that? Don’t recognise it. (Sorry – very nerdy and not remotely important!)
Yeah, I like this first track. It’s like what Gay Dad might have sounded like if they were, er, any good. (That sounds like damning with faint praise, doesn’t it?!) No really, very good. Very accomplished. Second track’s even better – nice Hammond organ work (I think). Not sure who John Teller is. Google says a character in “Sons of Anarchy” or an American freestyle skier. Yeah, track 3 is good too.
What a shame about your friend having to stop playing, maki – and about him suffering from tinnitus of course. A friend of mine has had it constantly for years and years – I can’t think of any greater torture.
It’s the bandcamp player that you can just embed with a code you get from their site.
The tinnitus thing is something that those of us who don’t suffer will never be able to understand. Must be awful if it forces you to give up something you love.
