  1. All my best wishes, from a Red to a Blue.

Still hope to buy you a drink sometime . . . we fly into MJV mid-May for a fortnight: you anywhere near?

    Cheers, and Happy Birthday.

    DsD

    • MJV is about an hour and a half away. Do you know where you are staying ?
We are south of there in Almeria district in the provence of Andalucia.
We are close to the A7-E15 motorway so travelling is no great problem.
The closest resorts to us are Vera Playa/Mojacar/Garrucha which are about 25mins. away.
There is a chance that I might be in the UK after Easter for a week or two – not sure yet, but it’s looking like it’s a goer, so I’ll keep you posted.

      • We’re staying on a golf’n'apartments complex near Sucina, a 15min drive NW of MJV airport. I will have a car, and I will have my mobile with me – I’ll email you the number. Best to play it loose and see when DsMam, DsGran and the kids fancy staying in and lazing around the complex.

Plus of course, if you do get over here in the meantime, try me anyway. But no I don’t know anyone who can get a couple of spares for the FA Cup semi at Wembley! (Actually, I do, but I know how much he’d charge me, so f…orget that!!

  2. Happy Birthday ! ! ! I hope you have a lovely day ! ! !

This is Blue Bird by the fabulous Ayumi Hamasaki, it is about a blue bird . . .

    I hope you like it ! ! !

  3. Happy Birthday Blue Peter.
They do say you’re only as old as the music you listen to, . . . so, oops, yes . . .
You are officially ancient I’m afraid. Hope there’s enough cake to compensate x

  4. Have a good one, bp! Let’s hope Mr Moyes and his boys round the day off nicely for you (and me).
Here’s a Bird Song for you (whether you like it or not!), played in blazing sunshine for you to listen to in blazing sunshine, with a drink (or whatever) in your hand.

  5. Happy Birthday!

Here’s some Japanese indie pop punk. I was looking for a song of theirs called “Peter”, but I couldn’t find it, so here’s “Birthday” instead !

  6. This would have been Number 1 in the charts in the week you turned 16, Blue Peter. It’s cheesy, but in view of the lovely sunny weather, what the heck! (You only get a bit of the song, then it goes off into the movie.)

    Have a happy, happy birthday.

  7. Phew !!!!!!!!!!!
First of all, thanks to tincanman for remembering my birthday and posting the photo of me with some bird I’d just picked up.
And what can I say about you wonderful lot. Thank you all for your best wishes, and a terrific selection of music and videos. (amylee the link to the eagles nest worked perfectly).
It has been a lovely warm day here. My son is over from the UK and a game of golf is lined up for Thursday. We are having a BBQ a little later today with plenty to drink and then I’ll settle down to watch the Everton replay. Can’t say I’ll be in a fit state for much after that.

    And I don’t feel a day over 64……………………….

    • I have to say that you look great. Never would have guessed you for 65. Sounds like you have a great birthday planned. Many more!

  8. Happy birthday, Blue Peter! Was almost gonna post a bit of another Scouse Peter, Pete Wylie, for ya but he might the wrong side of the Liverpool/Everton divide… So I too will have to look to blue for inspiration. Here’s Dan Mangan’s Post-War Blues, which facebook friends may already be familiar with. I think it’s ace (if not exactly birthday material, thematically!):

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

  9. great end to a lovely day…………………..

Everton through to the semi’s and I’m about to open a bottle of the finest brandy.

Nighty night all. Thanks once again.

  10. Happy Birthday, BP. Thought I might go with TMBG – Birdhouse In Your Soul & found this literal tribute instead. As it makes as much sense as the original here it is:
