The wonders of the ‘Spill. It started with “Camels Swapped for Wives” in the Festive ‘Spill a couple of years ago. “The Racket They Made” in Earworms and then onto the numerous listings for King Creosote in last year’s Festive picks. I need more but have no idea where to start. Can anyone help? This ‘Spiller needs a King Creosote 101. Any suggestions welcome.

Tempted to mention “You’ve no clue, do you?”, simply because it seems to be an appropriate (if rather rude) retort! I think Blimpy may be your man for KC.
Here’s one I actually witnessed (I think) – I was certainly at the festival and remember seeing him!
I think that hairdo was ill-advised myself…
Sorry, terrible sound quality on that vid. Nice song though.
I’ve no clue, that’s for sure ! Thanks Bish !
gotta bake a cake but Flick The Vs is a good album to start on …
will be back later with a more detailed analysis.
Two Frocks At A Wedding is one of my all time fav songs.
Yup ! Liked that. More please Shane. Thank you.
“KC Rules OK” is kind of a compilation of some sort and just about as good as it gets!
I picked it up for a couple of hundred yen almost by accident, then found out that Blimpy had named it his number one album of the 90s!!
I’m with you on this journey, Maki!
KC Rules OK. Didn’t know t was a compilation, though. This is the one where he has the Earlies as the backing band.
King Creosote & Tom Hopkins – Diamond Mine
…a beauty of an album…
a fine review:

I’ll second that. Diamond Mine, great album………….
Huge back catalog, very little of which is easily available. Fence do a horrible job of keeping a back catalog up – seem more interested in elitist limited editions. Good approach for stamp collecting but a disservice for anyone just interested in the music and not accumulating rare art collectibles.
Thanks everyone. I’ll let you know how I get on.
