It is all my fault. The last few days I have been really disorganised and totally stressed out and unfocused and I have not prepare the post in time.
I think we will publish the Hawaii post at the weekend.
This photo is not of Hawaii but of Higashi-Henna-Zaki Cape in Miyakojima which is my home Island. It is actually quite close to our family home.
As compensation for being late, I have shared a track the Miyako dialect of Ryukyuan. This is the dialect of my island, I think you will see it is really very different from Japanese. The track is by Isamu Shimoji who is famous for making beer commercials and a sort of Okinawan country and western style act , but he is a really very nice guy and he promotes our language and the Miyako dialect a lot.
Some of the scenes in the video are of folk lore rites unique to Miyakojima and the masks are similar to the ones found in Polynesia which is where people believe the Ryukyuan people came from originally.
I hope you like it!
Dynamism of the people - Isamu Shimoji

That was extraordinary.
Hi Severin
I have put Ryukyu Rare Grove in DB for you.
I hope you like it.
Is “extraordinary” good?
It is very different from Japanese. I hope you found it interesting ! ! !
Thank you! Yes, in this case, extraordinary is good.
That pic made me smile.
The character is Faye Valentine from the anime series Cowboy Bebop .
The music is great for that series ! ! !
