The end of the year is approaching with alarming velocity (hence a seasonal picture that’s only slightly premature). Do we want to have another annual awards ceremony for Album of the Year, Film of the Year etc.? If so, would anyone like to host it, as I’ve done it for the last two years and you probably want a change? Which is to say that I’m very happy to do it again, but won’t have any problem in passing on this pleasurable duty if someone else would like to do it…
I’m happy for you to do it aba. It’s a holiday tradition now, like Dad getting drunk in the kitchen and Mum burning the gravy and trying to hide it with Jack Daniels.
I’d say go for it. I doubt I’ll have have an album of the year myself since I live entirely in the past musically. Books and films I look forward to.

Can I request an extra category for this year called something like ‘old albums that people have only discovered this year’?……….it may be difficult to judge though. I’m just thinking of people who prefer to buy older stuff
