A GU article on German “acoustic techno” group Brandt Brauer Frick reminds me of the beautifully hand drawn video for their track Caffeine… there’s a section in the middle which I think refers to Jaco Pastorius’ Okonkole Y Trompa, so I’ll pair them off for the put-upon commuters among you.
What a brilliant film, it redefines the term minimalist and is so beautifully rendered and the music is so perfect; either the music is perfect for the film or vice versa. I’ve never heard of BBF before so I was intrigued enough to play some more of their videos, Bop was wonderful, amazing camera moves and brilliant creativity, thanks for introducing this new ‘group’.
Cheers, GF. Bop is indeed brilliant, I’ll pop it in here as well.
I loved that little movie! The animation was so beautiful. I like how they showed windows, doors and elevators, but not floors and walls. Who thinks of something like that? Very inspiring, thanks for posting it. THe song made me feel anxious, but caffeine makes me feel anxious, so that works perfectly.
that was just great! totally compelling film and music from start to finish, I loved all the little details in there too. Cheers!
OMG, I was that man – apart from the cross-dressing of course! Brilliant.
Thanks people! @GHE- sounds like you need a cup of my java..
