  1. There is some serious talent in the steen family! That minotaur even scared me! Genius work from both director and star.

  2. Already looking forward to ‘Giant Minotaur 2 – On Stranger Horns’ and ‘Giant Minotaur 3 – Moowhere to Hide’.

  3. Or in the spirit of this post’s branding; Mooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooopooooooooooooooooooooooowhere to Hide

  4. I have to go to bed now and i’m going to have minotaur nightmares. Isaac, you were brill! Malcolm, don’t hide your light under a bushel! We demand a Hitchcockesque cameo in your next film. Well done all.

  5. I’m sorry, everybody. I probably should have posted some sort of warning about the frightening content.

Actually…Tatanka Yotanka… When I was first called in to watch the rehearsal, I was told “It’s Punny!!” (He’s on my tail, wait a minute, I don’t have a tail)

Ahem. Thought you might appreciate that, as a member of the punster society.

  6. That’s the best film more or less EVER. But like others, I’ve watched it just before bedtime and I might just have to stay awake a little longer… The “on my tail” thing isn’t quite a pun ? It’s what children do when they’re learning that metaphors aren’t to be taken literally, and start to have fun taking them literally. My Emma is 4, and she would idnignantly insist that she doesn’t have a tail; Isaac is old enough to get the metaphor and have fun turning it back into something literal. There might be a name for this but I can’t find it…

    • Daddypig – You’re right! Isaac has no idea what a pun is. He’s very unintentionally funny when he tries to be punny. But this was written by Malcolm, who will be 9 next week. He does sort of understand the idea of punning (One of his favorite recent books was a punstravaganza!) But he doesn’t understand it completely. (Who does? It’s a study!!) It seemed so sweet to me that he was trying to play with words.

      • My brother insists that when his oldest son / my nephew was 2 or 3, he was watching Bambi and said “Oh dear” when Bambi’s mummy was (**SPOILER ALERT**) killed by the hunters; although he was sad too.
