“Infinitessima-social”?

Last week, DebbyM‘s visit to the UK was described as a micro-social – presumably smaller than a mini-social.

Well next week, there’s going to be one which at the moment, is looking like being an even more of an, er, intimate(?) affair.

To try to finally meet RockingMitch for real, Gordonimmel & I are planning on grabbing a coffee with our resident rock-and-roller as he passes through New Pudsey station.

DaddyPig may make it if he gets away from an earlier appointment in time; gremlinfc is only a ‘possible’; AliMunday already knows she can’t make it.

So -
Date: Tuesday 19th October
Time: 1500hrs – 1700hrs
Venue: The initial idea is meet at the station, although to get a decent seat, brew & bun, we’ll probably have to walk round to the M&S cafe at the Owlcotes Shopping Centre, but we’ll figure that one out on the day.

Anyone else around the area? Contact me by the usual methods, and you’re welcome to join us, unless your name is Dolly Messiter of course!

  1. Just let me know if you end up somewhere different to Marks and Sparks. If the NHS don’t keep me waiting too long and the physio leaves me able to walk, I’ll be there !

Williamsbach – very many thanks for the Monty Python info, the sketch is here, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxzdkaaafms – and it’s one of the best I think. Very silly indeed.

And I would just arrange to meet at M&S, the Owlcotes Centre is conspicuous and well-signposted, 2 mins walk from the station, and there’s only Asda, Boots and M&S there. As you can see from the Python sketch, there’s nowt at the station !

  2. OK, I’m convinced. Just seems a little unimaginative, much less rockanrollmaan, to arrange a Social at Marks&Spencer, that’s all I’m sayin’, y’know!!

  3. I am sorry I can’t come, I’d like to meet Mitch, he sounds just as mad as the rest of you. I mean us.

Do have a nice time all, and lets have a write-up afterwards!

  4. Back home now. Nice to meet everybody. It was a good day, actually as my cousin was in better fettle than I was expecting. Not out of the woods yet, but there’s a possibility that if the swelling in his eye (ie the tumour) continues to shrink at the rate it is doing, he may be able to forego the removal surgery.
