  1. Great playlist as usual, Shoey. Track 2 is coming up as “Cannot find file” but I doubt if it could be any better than Gary Clail and Tackhead. What a track!

  2. Doh! Just clicked comments to say I liked No.5, and of course it’s stopped playing because the page has gone.

  3. Mnemonic/Mnemosene. Tackhead are planning some European gigs this Autumn. Doubt that Gary will come out of retirement, but it seems that Bernard Fowler & Mark Stewart will be involved. If this comes anywhere close to some of the 80′s live shows it could be a lot of fun.

DsD It’s been a while since we’ve seen you in the shoelounge. Can’t rememember what #5 was, but glad you found something you liked.

    • Oh the Elliott Smith song everyone wants to credit to Garneau this week. Not dissing Garneau ’cause it’s a lot to ask, but really if you are going to sing songs like this and not top yourself, you’re really not flying close enough to the edge are you?

      • Strange comment.

Seems to me that it’s a song about alcoholism. Imagine it’s the drink doing the singing. Self-destructive, probably; suicidal, nope.

It’s quite possible Elliott did top himself. Stabbing yourself twice in the chest is an odd way to go, his girlfriend/manager was present & the inquest returned an open verdict.

    • I was being facetious and shouldn’t have been. Too much sunshine yesterday, I think. I’m not used to it.

      • No problem. Not sure there are any helpful programs for sunholics. A sombrero, perhaps?

      • Better than a sombrero for me is to stick with the tried and true staying indoors and listening to music as much as possible. I’ve got the Nature Channel so I really don’t have to go out.
