hey – nice one shoey – this is easy now innit?
(just the playlists option- still a pig. splitting them works for me – saves skipping through loads to get to were you left off)
Shoey: Very impressed, a poll is a first, how do you do that? It looks very slick but it didn’t work properly for me, I voted on several soft choices but only one took, is that how it’s supposed to be?
Next the music, rarely can I sit through a list here without clicking ‘next’, I listened to and enjoyed everything on the soft choices, all totally new names to me; the hard stuff was something else, none of those got a complete play.
But forget the music, that fabulous photo, who is it, who’s it by, where did you get it?
Great effort, take a gold star and go to the top of the class!
I kept voting for those I liked and they wouldn’t take, it told me I’d already voted but that wouldn’t have been my vote if I’d known. tried to vote for ‘Bomb’, Sharon and Dog.
Can allow for some more votes next time, GF, but 1 is all you get this month. All is not lost, I’m sure your Bomb Sharon & Dog has registered with Homeland Security.
I voted, but I’m in such a listening slump. Nothing sounds GOOD to me. (not just nothing in this list – nothing at all lately. It’s a terrible feeling) I need to find something brand new (but possibly old) It’s on the tip of my ears…
I should mention that I was leaning towards some of the harder tracks, but my boys are poorly, and I couldn’t give them the volume they deserve. Some intriguing stuff in the whole list, though, so thank you for compiling.
I put a folder called steen slumpbusters in DB. Why don’t people just throw in a couple of off beat things and see where it leads her?
Woo hoo, I stuck a poll up – & my eyes didn’t even water or anything.

I’ll get stuck into the tunes shall I?

A 1st for me – Shane showed the way last month. Unlike a real election, you only get 1 vote, GF.
the one vote was necessary – Blimpy was going to burn out my poll with Laura Marling otherwise.
she still came joint first anyway!
Why isn’t Laura Marling on this poll, eh?? WHY???????!!!!!!
She doesn’t have to be on the poll now that she’s making some cash from her records.
Did you see the deluxe ultra limited edition version of her new album –
Blimpys missus got it.
Laura sits in the corner of the room and puts the record on the turntable for him.. then he has to concentrate on the tunes- just the tunes.
Oh & the photo is borrowed from Flickr. If you go to the site & google jukebox &/or collage you should be able to find more about it.
Blimpy will no doubt be gratified (if a bit amazed) that I have voted for The Fall.
My ghast is flabbered, Carole!!! What happened??!! :-0
Nice idea – very impressed. I’m voting for Jonsi’s album Go which isn’t included. If that’s not allowed : Sharon Jones.
Jonsi lost points for not putting the dragon song on the album & for singing in English.
Why does “Dap Kings” sound faintly rude?
incredible list Shoey, maybe the best yet…and great poll function…….unsurprisingly I liked the harder stuff better.
BTW, do you know which Yellow Swans is on?? They have put stuff out on Not Not Fun before

I meant to say “which label?”
The new (& last) Yellow Swans record is on Type

No worries, Steen/Claire, it happens. Dr. Shoe prescribes this:

Looks interesting, Shoey!

cheers Shoey, looks interesting.
I know what you mean Steen….i go through those kind of slumps now and again, something amazing always comes along to pull you out of it
Wow, that B Dolan was banging!
Another softie here – liked all those; more mixed reaction to the hard ones, although I’ll admit to unexpectedly enjoying the Cancer Bats.
(I voted for Kaki King)
Late vote for a soft option – thanks Shoey!
