I had no idea, you scamps. When webcore asked if I would be free for a coffee Thursday morning I thought ”ah thats sweet. He wants to buy me a birthday coffee.” Then last night he said ”bring your camera” so I knew something was up, but had no idea what. I ruled out cake when he arrived on bicycle. The shirt was a great surprise. I love the design and the lyrics on the back are amazing. Best gift you could of thought of ’cause it’s so personal and caring.
Great photographer that he is, webcore nabbed this superhero action shot just as I was flying off to prevent some ne’er-do-well from donding a Patches nomination somewhere in the world.
Thanks again, friends. I won’t be around much this weekend – family birthday party stuff tonight and packing for a celebratory weekend away chasing dog and kids along on the beaches of Blackpool. I’m not telling you that to make you jealous, just so you’ll know where to look for the collapsed body if you don’t hear from me by Monday.

Personally, I never made it to 50. Deciding that 90 was a pretty good innings and being as one with Will S on the 7 ages of man; when I got to 45 I flipped a lever, added a shim or two, greased a nipple and the whole time machine thingy is working perfectly in reverse. Looking forward (backward?) to my sedond visit to 36 in October
