@ Shoey – I hadn’t heard The Durutti Column for years! What’s this track from – do you have any recommendations for the best album to invest in? I’m sure I used to have some vinyl of theirs but a quick trip up to the attic has revealed a Durutti Column-shaped space.
This one's from the 1st album "The Return of the Durutti Column", just guitar & drum machine. Vini has one of those voices you are looking for above, so would go for albums with minimal singing. "The guitar & other machines" is a good one. Would also go for a live album, as Bruce Mitchell is an amazing drummer & they also added other instiments & vocalists. As far as I know DC are still going.
