The Witch, by 25 cents. Nice, thrashy lo-fi track by one of NZ label Flying Nun’s first woman-only bands, very obscure but worth a listen.

Didn’t quite understand the above post but it spookily fits the vibe of the topic. Utter masterpiece. How many songs use the word ‘schism’? The Maxinquay album blew me away. Just on the Bristol note, Portishead’s new album ‘Third’ is on deezer in it’s entirety. Listen to ‘Dummy’ – also there, and then listen to ‘Third’. That’s one whole hour of heaven!

I never saw Labyrinth, so thanks for that insight Tracyk. I guess that means it’s Blimpy in disguise again…EJ, with Bitches Brew we proved what sad old fuckers we are..1) gave away the old double cd when we bought the boxed set2) repurchased a new double album after getting annoyed at the track distribution on the boxed set.
The saddest thing I did with these box sets, is, after feeling the urge to complete this beautiful collection, and owning already Sketches Of Spain, Porgy & Bess, Miles Ahead and Quiet Nights, I still bought the Miles and Gil set, cause those 6 seconds false starts are that indispensable.
